We are a bistro-esque discotheque, of sorts.

RENARD is a cocktail bar & social club that serves booze alongside small dishes and disco โ€˜til late.

Renard (French, Reโ€ขNar โ€” โ€˜Foxโ€™) started as an affectionate tongue-in-cheek reference to our beloved former nightclub โ€” The Faux Social Club โ€” which was often mispronounced by punters as โ€˜The Fox Social Club.โ€™ The malapropism stuck with us, and figured we better put it to use on the next rendition of the space.

The venue boasts a selection of independent Australian spirits, as well as local minimal intervention wines, with an ever-changing seasonal food and cocktails list.

The bar has proudly featured in Boothbyโ€™s Top 50 Bars in Victoria for 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Proudly independently owned and operated by Ballarat brothers Teddy & Louis.
